Each of us chose a princess we wanted to portray.  What a creative (and VERY talented) group of women!

Adult Sewing Classes

We are so excited to announce that we are going to be starting up our Adult Sewing Class.

Adult Sewing Classes

(Ages 14 up)

Cost &75 ($15/per class) plus supplies

Starting In October (See associate for details)

There will be 5 classes.

We will learn:

How to read a pattern

How to hem and make casings

Different types of interfacing

How to put a zipper in

How to make buttonholes

Projects will include:

Pillowcase

Pajama Pants

Skirt

Shirt

& Choose your own

Adult sewing Class Supply list:

Basic Sewing Kit (scissors, seam gage, seam ripper, thread to match project, pins, marking tool)

Sewing Machine, power cords, foot pedal and manual

Notebook and pen

Dates of classes: (all classes are from 5-8 pm)

Oct. 7-Pillowcase

Oct. 21- Pajama Pants

Nov. 4- Skirt

Nov. 18- Shirt

Dec. 9- Your choice

For the first class we will be making a pillowcase.

You need ¾ yard for the main part

¼ yard for the top band

1/8 yard for the flange

We will discuss the rest of the projects at the first class and I will hand out fabric requirements then.

Bring a bottle of water and something to munch on.

Kids Camp In August

Can you believe that summer is almost over?!?! What a crazy and busy summer it has been. As a great way to end summer break let us teach your kids a great life skill before they head back to school.
August kids camp is all about bags! 4 classes in 2 weeks; a new project every class.
Classes will be held on August 5, 6 12, & 13 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The cost is $125 and that includes all the materials and supplies that you will need. We will even provide a sewing machine to use while in class. Come on in or call to sign your kids up or if you have any questions.

What says summer better than an adorable America quilt? 

Myrna is going to be teaching us how to make this adorable log cabin quilt! I know I want one! 

I even have a plan where I am going to hang it!

Summer Buzzin'

We want to tell all you THANK YOU for making Summer Buzz such a blast! We had fun partyin' it up with all of you.

We hope you all had just as much fun as we did. We can't wait for the Beehive Shop Hop! It'll be October 8-11 this year. Make sure to mark your calenders for a "Time to Remember"!

 

June Class Time

There is nothing I love more than summer sewing. Sewing in the summer somehow seems more fun to me. Maybe its because the fabrics are so bright, or the dresses are light and airy. And who doesn't love a fun, new quilt for picnics or summer night star gazing. Whatever your fancy is I am sure we have a class to help fell up your summer days.

Summer Boredom Buster: Kids Camp

School is over!! Time for BBQ's, swimming, and watermelon. I love summer and the freedom it gives me from schedules. But about 2 weeks into summer break and I hear those dreaded words from my kids, "I'm bored."
We have the cure for that. Kids camp sewing lessons. Sewing is a valuable life skill that your kids will use for the rest of their lives. And what a fun way to spend your summer!!
Our first camp is Christmas in July. It will take place once a week from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The dates are July 8, 15, 22, 29. Each week will be doing a fun new project using fun & new techniques.
All fabric, notions and instructions are covered with tuition. We even provide a Babylock machine for your child to use while in class! All your child needs is a basic sewing kit. (Scissors, seam gage, etc.) The cost is only $125 and your child leaves with a priceless life skill. Come into the store to sign up today! Space feels up fast so hurry in!
